“The space in which we live, which draws us out of ourselves, in which the erosion of our lives, our time and our history occurs, the space that claws and gnaws at us...” Michel Foucault
An international group of 25 visual and performance artists explore concepts of space and place, touching on ideas from Einstein, Foucault, Bachelard & Debord. The Festival aimed to overcome the “banalisation” of the Tower as a familiar architectural presence, and encourage dialogue between the local community and the fabric and history of the building. Jeannette Abi Khalil, Keanu Arcadio, Liz Brown, Iggy Crespop, Rachel Glass, Esperanza Gomez Carrera, death+glitter, Jacqui Grant, Tom Hackett, Lisa Kreuziger, Jill Laudet, Christina Lovey, Andy Metcalf, Sonia Overall, Billie Penfold, Marta Pieregonczuk, Henry Rusted, Louise Scillitoe-Brown, PARALAX project, Joanna Sperryn-Jones, Henryk Terpilowski, Mále Uribe Forés, Anna Vauhkonen, Satu Viljanen, Eileen White & Belnda Mitchell. |
